• Short answer. No. I’ve been doing this for seven years. Anything you’ll need during the ceremony, I’ll prompt you.

Rehearsals are becoming less and less common in wedding prep – and for good reason.

The only reason you might want to do one is to get used to the space or practice your walk down. But in terms of what I’ll do during the actual ceremony, you won’t need me there.

  • Yup. Absolutely. Here’s my how to write vows guide – https://www.paulbonadio.com/writing-your-vows

I will print them out on the day for you to read.

  • Final payment is due around three weeks out from the ceremony.

I will send a final itinerary email that will cover everything, including final script, payment, etc.

  • Yes. I have two Bose speakers (one as primary and one as backup).

  • If music is a big factor for you, definitely get musicians for a DJ. I can’t stress that enough.

If you want me to play it out of my speaker that’s fine, however there's always the genuine risk that the phone will stop (especially as mine is getting toward the end of its life cycle… sometimes it just randomly switches off).

It really depends on how much you prioritise music for your ceremony.

  • Anyone. As long as they're over 18. You don't have to pick two separate people from two sides of the family.

  • If any kids are crying or are being super disruptive, I would highly recommend having a guardian take them outside the ceremony space (kids are awesome, but they can kill the vibe if they are constantly screaming).

Also, never ever have kids up there with you two on the ceremony stage.

I’ve had this in the past – absolutely disastrous.

  • Scripts are written is chronological order. I aim to get them to you at least two months prior to the ceremony date (so lots of time). Please do not chase up where the script is at – if it’s not in your inbox it’s because i'm not up to it yet.

I’ll have it to you with plenty of time to spare.

  • The NOIM (Notice of Intended Marriage) needs to be witnessed and submitted to me at least a month prior to signing the wedding docs.

I have a check-safe to ensure it’s done prior to this.

We can do this via zoom and it takes around 5 minutes.

My weekends are usually full of weddings, and my weeknights are stacked with meetings.

If you have availability during the day that works perfectly.

  • You’ll need access to a printer (prior to the meeting) and you’ll need either your passports OR birth certs + driver’s licences on hand.

We can get this witnessed over Zoom.
